About GOHS PTO
Greetings!
As a PTO, we would like to welcome you to Grand Oaks High School! We are looking forward to a new year with many fun adventures ahead.
Our goal is to support the students, teachers, and staff of Grand Oaks. To help foster a strong relationship between home and school, and create a sense of belonging that spills out into our community.
We need YOU to help determine this year’s impact! Volunteering your time is a great way to show your kids how important their education is from the very beginning, however volunteering is not a requirement. Whether your desire is to help a little or a lot, I am certain we have something for you. Please click on the VOLUNTEER tab to see all the areas you can be involved in!
Of course we cannot do what we do without the generous donations of our Grand Oaks families and local businesses. The PTO has two fundraisers. The fall semster fundraiser is the GOHS PTO Membership Drive, in the spring the PTO host Ladies Night Out. This is a night to remember with dinner, entertainment, a silent auction and more. The success of these events is due to the generosity of our parents and community. We hope to see our Grand Oaks families out in full force.
Bear Claw Breakfast
The Bear Claw Breakfast recognizes students who exemplify the G.R.O.W.L. characterstics. GROWL represents:
G- Growth

W- Work Ethic
L- Leadership
Teachers and staff submit these student to the counselors.
The Bear Claw Breakfast is hosted each quarter during Grizzly Den.
Coffee with Counselors
On the first Thursday of each month GOHS Counselors host a morning program for parents on a topic that is relevant to high school students. All parents are welcome to attend these meetings which last about an hour while enjoying a cup of coffee and treats provided. The program typically involves a short presentation that includes a variety of resources and handouts, with plenty of time for further discussions and questions. "Coffee with the Counselors" is designed to not only provide parents with information and resources but we aim to help parents develop a support network. We recognize that many parents have similar questions regarding how to navigate through their child's high school years and our program is a great venue to meet other parents who share common experiences.
Teacher Grants
Grand Oaks High School PTO appreciates all of our teachers, administrators, and staff who work so diligently all year long on our students’ behalf. The PTO Teacher Grant Program is one way the PTO helps to support these efforts, providing funds to any and all GOHS staff to be used for supplies, equipment, and other items which have a direct and beneficial impact on the quality of education for our students. During the 2022-2023 school year the PTO was able to provide the Culinary Department $700 in kitchen items, the Drone Club $300 for FPV goggles, and The Aspiring Musicians Club $600 in instrumental items.
Teacher Appreciation
Throughout the year the PTO will provide lunch or treats for the teachers and staff. During these events parents are asked to help by sending requeted items in or sparing their time to help set up, serve or clean up.
